UL South Wing 3 - Single Study Room 2
UL South Wing 3 - Single Study Room 2 In-Person
This room is located at the back of the Group Study Room on South Wing 3 and is ideal for anyone working on their own who requires privacy or a study space that allows them to make some noise (through listening to lecture videos, making an online video call, or anything similar).
You can book this room for a session lasting 2 hours* You can make multiple bookings on the same day.
Please note that to access the Single Study Room you will need to go through the shared space in the Group Study Room - this is most easily accessed from the door in the lift lobby, rather than to use the door that joins from inside the Commonwealth Reading Room. You may feel like you are disturbing others working in the space by opening doors and entering the room, and we have asked our Group Study Room users to expect you and to be mindful, courteous, and respectful of your need to get to the Single Study Room.
There is a PC in the Single Study Room 2, with a range of assistive software available on. This PC can be booked by students registered with the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre.
It is important to note that students will need to register to use the PC before using, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration can take up to 5 working days.
Technology available on the PC includes:
- Dragon Professional Speech to Text
- Dolphin Supernova
- Dolphin EasyReader
Please remember to tidy up and take all belongings with you at the end of your booking, to allow the next person to use the room after.
(*the final booking slot is 1 hour 45 minutes on weekdays and 1 hour 30 minutes on Saturdays, as bookings must fit within the opening hours of the South Wing 3 Study Hub)
